Armenia Must Exist Forever: Pashinyan Presents Military Products from 7 Countries at Parade
\YEREVAN, May 28. /ARKA/. In 2026, Armenia's Republic Day will be celebrated under entirely new historical circumstances. The Armenian Prime Minister announced this during the military parade in Republic Square.

"After nearly 35 years of conflict, peace has been established between the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Peace is what the First Republic of Armenia lacked to preserve and develop its independence. Today, we are overcoming the temporariness of the state, a legacy of the First Republic, and are adopting an agenda for the eternity of the state, guided by the logic that the state of Armenia must exist forever," Pashinyan stated.

He noted that in all situations, it is necessary to remain focused on the interests of the state. The state, its interests, security, freedom, and well-being become the key starting point for actions and decisions, and the state itself, in turn, becomes an instrument for ensuring the security, freedom, and well-being of its citizens.

"The Republic of Armenia is following this path. Established peace, its further institutionalization, the development and strengthening of the legal foundations of the state, transforming Armenia from a conflict deadlock into a crossroads of peace, including through the implementation of the TRIPP project, as well as ensuring the security, freedom, and well-being of citizens are our strategic priorities," Pashinyan said.

According to him, today the Armenian army is a factor not of war, but of peace, since a country without a capable and strong army can be attractive to aggression.

"Today we present to you the new army of the Republic of Armenia—with new weapons, new uniforms, and a new ideology. The army's sole task is to defend the territory of Armenia. Our army should not be deployed outside Armenia's borders, with the exception of international peacekeeping missions. Military products from approximately seven countries will be on display at today's parade. Products from the Armenian military-industrial complex, which is taking its first, but confident, steps toward entering international markets, will also be on display," Pashinyan stated.

A moment of silence and an artillery salute honored the memory of all those who died for the Motherland.

Armenia celebrates the 108th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia on May 28.
