Armenia is deeply concerned over the recent attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. Armenia is deeply concerned over the recent attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The inviolability of diplomatic missions is mandatory and should not be questioned under any pretext. We express our sincere sympathy to the injured and wounded," the statement said.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said seven military advisers, including Generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, and five officers were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
Al Hadath TV reported that the death toll from the rocket attack reached at least 11 after more bodies were recovered from the rubble. -0-
