Armenia welcomes Iranian nuclear program deal

Armenia's foreign minister Edward Nalbandian has welcomed today the deal reached by world powers and Iran on limiting Iranian nuclear activity in return for the lifting of international economic sanctions, saying Yerevan hopes that the agreement will enable Armenia and Iran to expand their trade and economic ties.

YEREVAN, July 14. / ARKA /. Armenia's foreign minister Edward Nalbandian has welcomed today the deal reached by world powers and Iran on limiting Iranian nuclear activity in return for the lifting of international economic sanctions, saying Yerevan hopes that the agreement will enable Armenia and Iran to expand their trade and economic ties.
The deal follows 17 days of almost uninterrupted negotiations in Vienna involving foreign ministers from seven countries – Iran, US, UK, Russia, China, France and Germany – and the EU’s foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini.
Nalbandian said in a statement that Armenia welcomes the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program worked out as a result of purposeful and constructive efforts of international mediators and Iran, saying also this long-awaited agreement is an important achievement in the efforts to strengthen international and regional stability and cooperation.
"We hope that this (agreement) will serve as an additional incentive for the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, implementation of joint projects between Armenia and friendly Iran," said Nalbandian .-- 0--
