Armenian Foreign Ministry rejects allegations of deadlock in talks with Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has dismissed today allegations that Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations on peace treaty have reached a deadlock.
“In any case, (recently) a meeting of commissions on state border demarcation was held. There is an agreement to hold a new meeting in the near future,” he told reporters on Thursday.
Kostanyan pointed out that Armenia has been waiting for Azerbaijan's response to the proposals it submitted for Baku to consider for quite some time.
“We hope that we will receive an answer in a short time that will enable us to continue the peace process,” the deputy minister emphasized, saying Armenia continues to show a constructive approach to the negotiation process.
Armenian rime Minister Nikol Pashinyan repeatedly spoke about the readiness to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan. According to him, 15 out of 17 clauses of the document have already been agreed upon by the sides. He said the parties have not yet reached an agreement on the remaining two clauses (the presence of representatives of third countries on the border of the states and mutual withdrawal of lawsuits in international instances).-0-
