The composition of the Armenian government will be cut in 2016, prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan said today, adding that the move is aimed at optimization of the Cabinet's performance.

YEREVAN, December 29. /ARKA/. The composition of the Armenian government will be cut in 2016, prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan said today, adding that the move is aimed at optimization of the Cabinet's performance.

According to him, next year extra expenditures for the maintenance of the government will be cut and the funds will be channeled into projects with anticipated efficiency. He refrained to answer a question about who of his ministers may lose their jobs.

After the formation of a new government in 2014 spring the State Revenue Committee was merged with the Ministry of Finance, the State Committee of Water Resources was incorporated into the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Territorial Administration were merged into one agency. In addition, the government created a new Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reform. -0-
