YEREVAN, August 25. /ARKA/. Thirty minutes after the Armenian parliament resumed today’s session, suspended after former defense minister Seyran Ohanyan, now an MP from the opposition Hayastan (Armenia) alliance hurled a bottle at a pro-government MP Hayk Sargsyan provoking a scuffle among the lawmakers, a fresh clash between the deputies took place in the parliament again - this time after the speech of the deputy from the opposition Hayastan alliance Vahe Hakobyan.

During Hakobyan's speech, the deputies from the opposite camp would make comments from their seats, and the speaker of the parliament Alen Simonyan also reacted emotionally.

After Hakobyan's statement that the current authorities are leading the country to a dictatorship, followed by a remark from one of the parliamentarians, Hakobyan could not restrain himself and began insulting the opposition MP.

The reaction of those present turned out to be very stormy - some deputies jumped up from their seats and a skirmish began. Speaker Simonyan immediately ordered to turn off the live broadcast.

A video spread by some media outlets shows Hakobyan descending from the podium and walking towards the members of the pro-government Civil Contract party.

The pro-government deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan approached Hakobyan and kicked him, another deputy approached him from behind and began punching him in the head.

The earlier scuffle began after Hayk Sargsyan said that all those former ministers of defense during whose tenure young men were freed from mandatory military service for money or after a "call" from a high-ranking official were traitors.

Today’s parliament session was suspended. --0--
