YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan signed decrees last week appointing ambassadors to a number of countries, the presidential press office reported.

It said Sos Avetisyan, Armenian Ambassador to Spain, was appointed to serve also as Ambassador to Andorra (residence in Madrid). Avetisyan took up the post of the ambassador to Spain in November 2021.

Varuzhan Nersisyan, Armenian Ambassador to the United Kingdom was appointed to serve also as Ambassador to Ireland (residence in London). On July 16, 2021, Nersisyan was dismissed as Ambassador to the United States and appointed as Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Armen Ghevondyan was appointed Armenian ambassador to Kazakhstan (residence in Nur-Sultan). Earlier Ghevondyan was dismissed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador of Armenia to Italy Tsovinar Hambardzumyan wwas appointed to serve also as Ambassador to Malta (residence in Rome). Hambardzumyan was appointed Armenia's ambassador to Italy on June 3, 2020. -0-
