The Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary commission’s efforts help ensure harmonious development of the bilateral ties, Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said at his meeting with the Russian Duma speaker Sergey Narishkin, who is in Yerevan for a working visit, the press office of the president reported.
YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary commission’s efforts help ensure harmonious development of the bilateral ties, Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said at his meeting with the Russian Duma speaker Sergey Narishkin, who is in Yerevan for a working visit, the press office of the president reported.
The current inter-parliamentary ties are stable and dynamic, the president said. The commission considers various areas of cooperation and helps create the required legal framework, he said.
Sargsyan and Narishkin discussed the allied partnership and a wide range of bilateral issues. They stressed the importance of the inter-parliamentary ties in strengthening the partnership.
The sides talked also about trade and economic ties within the EEU integration. They agreed Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union may enhance the cooperation to the advantage of both sides.
Sargsyan and Narishkin exchanged views on international and regional challenges, on the security in the South Caucasus in particular. –0--
