BRICS integration issue not on Armenia's agenda - PM

YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. The issue of integration with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) is not on Armenia’s agenda at the moment, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today.

"I received an invitation from the Russian president to take part in the (organization's) summit in Kazan in October and accepted it. I cannot say more at the moment. This is the first time that the leader of Armenia will take part in the BRICS summit," emphasized Pashinyan at the Second World Armenian Summit in Yerevan on Tuesday.

The BRICS summit will be held in Russian Kazan on October 22-24. The event participants include not only the leaders of the union countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), but also applicants for membership. The summit agenda includes prospects for further partnership between the BRICS member countries, as well as identifying priority areas of cooperation. -0-
