YEREVAN, October 23. /ARKA/. Internal political developments in Armenia may lead to a reshuffle in the cabinet, if, particularly, the country starts again developing in the EU association mode, associate professor at the State Economic University of Armenia Ashot Yeghiazaryan said.
If Armenia gets reoriented toward Europe, it will need a stronger government able to implement the required changes and acceptable both inside the country and to foreign partners, Yeghiazaryan said.
It is difficult to imagine this process right now, but further developments over the next months will show Armenia has no way, but the European development.
Yeghiazaryan said external political developments will have great impact on political processes inside the country in the near future. The US and the EU officials are still quite tough on Armenia, as “they see Armenia only inside Europe, not under Russia”.
According to mass media allegations, Armenia’s prime-minister known for his loyalty to European integration and statements saying Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union is not justified, may be dismissed under Russia’s pressure. –0--
