Chairman of Armenia’s state revenue committee Rustam Badasyan resigns
YEREVAN, November 18. /ARKA/. Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of State Revenue Committee has submitted his resignation.
"I am confident that the work done both to provide more accessible services and to strengthen tax discipline has yielded and will continue to yield results when every citizen of the Republic of Armenia realizes the importance of paying taxes in the development of our state," Badasyan said in a statement on the Committee on State Revenues' Facebook page.
Rustam Badasyan was appointed Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia on August 4, 2021.
Earlier on Monday, Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Vahe Ghazaryan, Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Sasun Khachatryan, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee, and Karen Andreasyan, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council submitted their resignations.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Monday that he had asked several high-ranking officials to step down, explaining that the reasons were not personal but systemic, as he had publicly stated.
On November 15, during a government meeting, Pashinyan sharply criticized the security forces, stating that his patience regarding their performance had been exhausted. According to him, from now on, the security forces must independently solve the tasks assigned to them within the framework of his concepts. -0-
