YEREVAN, March 26. /ARKA/. On Thursday, the Armenian government approved a draft presidential decree approving the financial agreement between Armenia and the European Commission, the "Multi-Sector Budget Support Agreement."

The agreement provides for EU assistance worth a total of €143 million, which will be used for Armenia's development during 2026-2028.

The financial package consists of two components: €90 million in direct budget support and €53 million in technical assistance to strengthen institutional capacity. The funds are provided exclusively in grant form, and the main areas of support are public financial management, export diversification, visa liberalization dialogue, the rule of law, and employment and social inclusion. Each year's allocation of funding will be linked to the high-quality and timely implementation of the 34 targeted activities.
