The European Union says the intention of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliev to have a meeting in the next months inspires hopes, according to the statement of the secretary to the EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton Maya Kosyanchich.

The European Union says the intention of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliev to have a meeting in the next months inspires hopes, according to the statement of the secretary to the EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton Maya Kosyanchich.
On November 19 the presidents had their first meeting over the last two years in Vienna.
The statement also says the EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton welcomes the meeting of the presidents and OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ efforts in resuming high-level meetings between the two presidents.
The European Union is ready to contribute to intensifying of efforts to find a peaceful solution to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to the statement. –0—
