YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. Alexey Miller, CEO of Russia's Gazprom, is now in Armenia, and his visit gives grounds for certain rumors, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Time) reports.
According to the newspaper, his two previous visits to Armenia were followed by Russian gas price lowering in Armenia – in 2015, gas price downed from $186 to $165, and in this year's spring, it went down from $165 to $150.
It is not known so far why Miller traveled to Armenia this time. Official reports contain only broad-brush information.
There were some allusions to gas price only in reports about his meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president.
The authors of the publication say that if Miller agrees to drive the gas price a little lower, this will be a significant support for Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, who is his former subordinate, former deputy director of Gazprom's Mezhregiongaz.
Miller met with Karapetyan yesterday. ($1 – AMD 475.40). --0----
