Opposition faction "I have honor" supported the initiative to begin impeachment of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan

YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. The opposition faction of the Armenian parliament "I have honor" joined its colleagues from another opposition faction "Armenia" and supported the initiative to begin impeachment of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Earlier, on April 28, members of the "We are Awake" movement, founded by the founder of the "Veto" movement Narek Malyan, former Armenian Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan and a group of oppositionists, sent individual letters to members of the Armenian parliament about initiating the process of declaring a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan within 10 days.
In response, Taron Margaryan, an MP from the "I have e honor" faction, published a statement on Facebook from the faction to the initiators of the impeachment procedure, which notes:
"We reaffirm that at the moment the most likely way to achieve a change of power is the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister. In order not to complicate the process with unnecessary political aspirations, we declare that at the moment we do not have a candidate for Prime Minister. We express our readiness to discuss the issue of the candidate without any preconditions and initiate the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister," the statement, signed by all six members of the "I have honor" faction, notes.
On May 2, the "Armenia" faction announced to the initiators of the "We are Awake" movement that it was ready to provide the signatures of its MPs (28 people) to begin the impeachment procedure. At the same time, the faction noted that a vote of no confidence in the current prime minister can be discussed in the National Assembly only if at least 36 deputies provide the signatures necessary to begin the process. It is indicated that for the process to be successful, a minimum of 54 votes (a simple majority of deputies) are needed.
