YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the government will provide support to exporters amid restrictions imposed by Russia.

"In the event of unfair export barriers, the government will implement subsidy and support programs and will also help producers who have suffered losses find new markets," Pashinyan said at a pre-election meeting with residents of the village of Lchashen in the Gegharkunik region.

He noted that this applies to cases where the restrictions are not related to product quality. However, the prime minister noted that there are situations when exported products do not meet established standards.

"We cannot export low-quality products to the detriment of our sovereignty and state interests. We will help these entrepreneurs bring their products up to new quality standards," Pashinyan emphasized.

The prime minister announced that Armenia is already working to enter new export markets.

"Several of our business delegations have already departed today. We already have specific proposals for purchasing roses, fruits, and vegetables," he said.

Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of diversifying export markets, stating that Armenia's economy should not be dependent on a single destination.
