YEREVAN, April 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called for strengthening peace and good-neighborly relations with Azerbaijan, describing also the reciprocal visits of the two countries' deputy prime ministers 'historic.'

On April 29, the thirteenth meeting of the state border delimitation commissions was held in Aghveran, Armenia, chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev. The Armenian and Azerbaijani sides agreed on draft instructions for the delimitation procedures and signed the corresponding protocol.

"A very important event has taken place." "I believe that the visits of the two countries' deputy prime ministers are historic in the logic of building and institutionalizing peace," Pashinyan said at a press briefing on Thursday, commenting on the recent visit of Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev to Armenia.

According to him, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan must consistently improve, and peace must gradually strengthen.

"In the long term, normal and good-neighborly relations must be established in a strategic sense," Pashinyan noted.

Responding to a question about maintaining the confidentiality of Mustafayev's visit to Armenia, the prime minister stated that confidentiality rules are observed for well-known security reasons.

"When our deputy prime minister visited Azerbaijan, similar rules were observed there. Information leaks can never be ruled out. There were no such leaks in Azerbaijan, but there were in Armenia. An event is being organized, and the parties are agreeing on the timing of press releases," Pashinyan said.
