Pashinyan says 105 Armenian soldiers killed in clashes with Azerbaijani troops
YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today that 105 Armenian soldiers have been killed in clashes with Azerbaijan that launched September 13 massive attacks against Armenia along the entire length of the border.
"I said from the rostrum of the National Assembly yesterday that we had 49 soldiers killed, and I said that unfortunately that was not the final figure. I can say that as of now the number of killed soldiers has grown to 105," he said on Wednesday during a government Q&A session in Parliament.
On September 13 at 00.05, Azerbaijani Armed Forces started intensive shelling of Armenian positions using artillery, combat drones and large-caliber guns in the direction of Sotk, Vardenis, Goris, Kapan, Artanish and Ishkhanasar. They also made attempts to advance into Armenia's territory, but were made retreat by relatiatory fire.
Today morning, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces resumed their attacks, including the use of drone strikes and artillery, in the direction of Jermuk in Syunik and Verin Shorzha village in Gegharkunik regions. -0-
