Overwhelming majority of Armenians name France as friendliest country-poll
YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. More than 78% of respondents of a public opinion poll named France as the friendliest country, according to the findings of the survey conducted by the Armenian office of Gallup International Association.
France is followed by India ( 68.5%) and Iran (58.7%). Some 41% of respondents named the United States as the friendliest country, 38% named China, 34% - Georgia, 32% - Germany, and 29.7% - Russia.
Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian office of Gallup International Association, told a press conference on Wednesday that 93% and 98% of Armenian respondents named Turkey and Azerbaijan as unfriendly countries, respectively.
Navasardyan also added that the latest survey differed dramatically from a 2015 one. Thus, in 2015, 86% of respondents named Russia as the friendliest country, while in 2022 only 56%.
A total of 1,101 respondents took part in the telephone survey conducted from March 27 to 29. --0--
