Prosperous Armenia joins popular movement against ruling party

The Prosperous Armenia Party, headed by wealthy businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, which has the second biggest faction in parliament, has called on its supporters to take to the streets and join the protest movement, resumed today morning against the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, whose chairman, prime minister Serzh Sargsyan, was made to resign on April 23.

A Prosperous Armenia parliament member Luiza Sargsyan said on her Facebook page that she and her colleagues join the nationwide movement.
"We call on our voters to join us in the Republic Square to participate in the rally, and at this moment of national awakening we are close to our people in order to realize our dreams and aspirations together," she wrote. -0-
