YEREVAN, April 17. /ARKA/. Serzh Sargsyan, former Armenian president who now seeks the prime-ministerial seat to rule the country for the third term, this time as premier, in accordance with the new constitution, pointed out key priorities in development of Armenia.
Speaking today before the National Assembly, he said that he will continue diversifying the economy, cooperating with all possible partners in integration organizations and bilateral relations.
He said that the trade preferences are favorable to Armenia and that they allowed the country to build up its exports to 37% of GDP.
“Development programs imply to increase the export volumes to 40% in the next two or three years, and later to 45-50% and even more,” Sargsyan said.
He also said that the country has a huge untapped potential in agriculture.
In his words, everybody will see in five or seven years that agriculture is developing in Armenia. -0---
