YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia believes the country does need constitutional reforms, vice-speaker, member of RPA executive body Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters after the party council meeting Saturday.
Systemic changes are impossible in Armenia if no constitutional reforms are implemented, Sharmazanov said.
The vice-speaker said he is bewildered why political forces that were voicing need for transfer to full proportional representation before the 2013 presidential election are opposing the reforms today. What has changed, he asked them.
Under a presidential decree, a commission was set up on September 4 2013 to deal with the constitutional reform in Armenia and to submit a concept to the president by July 1, 2014. –0--
