YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Trade with Azerbaijan raises concerns, said Narek Karapetyan, Vice President of Tashir Group and coordinator of the "Mer Dzevov" movement.

"The purchase of oil and gasoline should be part of a broader framework agreement for the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement, and more. Our relations are not only economic; there is the issue of prisoners of war and the safe return of our compatriots to their homeland. We can only work together if Armenian goods are exported to Azerbaijan," Karapetyan said.

He questioned whether Azerbaijan would purchase Armenian goods in the same quantities.

"As for the list of goods for trade, agricultural products, for example, are mentioned there. Azerbaijan produces the cheapest agricultural products in the region because gas there is half the price of ours. As for aluminum foil, Azerbaijan produces it in large quantities. Our production at "Armenal" could increase by a maximum of $5-10 million," Karapetyan said.

According to him, normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is important for Armenia, but this process should not be one-sided.

Earlier, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated that Yerevan and Baku are negotiating the possibility of exporting aluminum foil, raw materials for aluminum foil production, ferromolybdenum, livestock, raw materials for cognac production, cigarettes, and textiles from Armenia to Azerbaijan.
