YEREVAN, April 17. /ARKA/. On April 17, a trilateral meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was convened in Tbilisi at the initiative of Foreign Ministers Maki Bochorishvili, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Jeyhun Bayramov respectively, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Ministers Lasha Darsalia of Georgia, Vahan Kostanyan of Armenia, and Elnur Mammadov of Azerbaijan expressed their enthusiasm for this inaugural trilateral gathering of South Caucasus nations.

They emphasized the considerable untapped potential for collaboration, grounded in a mutual respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The primary goal of the meeting was to enhance trilateral cooperation in shared interest areas, aiming to foster sustainable growth and prosperity across the region.

“Collaboration in these domains could help address common challenges and ultimately support long-term stability and accelerated development in the South Caucasus,” the statement indicated.

Participants concluded the meeting by recognizing the positive and constructive atmosphere, viewing it as an initial step in building trust and paving the way for more advanced dialogue in the future. -0-
