YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. The state has been returned illegally acquired property and funds worth $536 million in 2018-2024, Prosecutor General of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan reported in parliament.

Speaking with a report on the activities of the Prosecutor General's Office for 2024, the head of the department presented data on ongoing and completed criminal proceedings (at the stage of preliminary investigation), completed court cases, claims and agreements in defense of state and community interests, prosecutorial measures, and, since 2023, also as a result of the use of tools for the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

"During 2018-2024, property and funds worth about 210.79 billion drams (about $536.2 million) were returned to the Republic of Armenia and communities, 46% of which in 2023-2024," Vardapetyan said.

She added that in criminal cases completed in 2018-2024, a ban was imposed on property and funds worth almost 42.32 billion 317 million 283 thousand drams (about $108.12 million). About 300 real estate objects on which the ban was imposed have not been assessed.

As for the criminal cases investigated in 2024 by the preliminary investigation bodies, a ban was imposed on property and funds worth 2 billion 658 million 771 thousand drams.

Vardapetyan reported that as part of the actions to confiscate property of illegal origin from 2021 to April 9, 2025, 1496 real estate objects, 288 units of movable property, 391 rights to participate in legal entities and funds in the amount of 536.19 billion drams were seized under 147 claims pending before the Anti-Corruption Court.
