Driving school training will be required to take driver's license exam in Armenia

YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. The Interior Ministry of Armenia is set to make it compulsory for individuals to undergo training at a driving school before they can take the driver's license exam.

This topic was brought up during a meeting between Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan and representatives from driving schools, as well as organizations involved in registration and examination services.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that industry representatives have shown support for this initiative. They believe that making driving school training mandatory will enhance both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of aspiring drivers.

Sargsyan noted that these proposed reforms aim to boost road safety and refine the driver training system. She highlighted that the training should not only equip candidates with the knowledge needed to pass the theoretical exam but also cultivate skills for safe and responsible driving.

The Minister reiterated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will keep engaging with stakeholders to develop a more effective and professional driver training framework. -0-
