YEREVAN, September 17. /ARKA/. A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was registered on Wednesday in Armenia's Gegharkunik Province, the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

According to the Seismic Protection Service, the tremor was recorded on September 17 at 12:17 PM local time (08:17 GMT) 3 km southeast of the village of Shoghakat.

The earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude of the tremors at the epicenter was 3-4 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake was felt with an intensity of 3-4 on the Richter scale in the villages of Shoghakat, Artanish, Drakhtik, and Jil in the Gegharkunik Province.
