Armenia is building school for 650 students with advanced study of Chinese language

Another ten high schools in Armenia are going to include into their curricula specialized subjects on microelectronics, fundamentals of telecommunications and information technology, education and science minister Armen Ashotyan said Saturday.
YEREVAN, December 21. /ARKA/. Another ten high schools in Armenia are going to include into their curricula specialized subjects on microelectronics, fundamentals of telecommunications and information technology, education and science minister Armen Ashotyan said Saturday.
This is a pilot training program being now carried out in specialized colleges in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor. According to the minister, inclusion of these subjects into school curricula is an Armenian know-how and almost has no analogues in the world.
The minister said also construction of a school with advanced study of Chinese language, designed for 650 students is underway. He said the school will have its dormitories and a modern infrastructure.
During a state visit to the People's Republic of China on March 24-28 this year Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan said he would initiate the construction of a school in Armenia with in-depth study of the Chinese language. According to him, the new school would be an important guarantee of the Armenian-Chinese cooperation. -0-
