Armenia’s Food Safety Inspectorate in Tavush suspends operation of Opela catering point

YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Food Safety Inspectorate in Tavush province has ordered a catering point owned by Opela LLC to stop operation after finding a string of breaches.

According to the press service of the regulator, the catering point located near Parz Lich Lake in the territory of the Dilijan National Park breached the sanitary and hygienic norms established by legal acts.

It said the areas where the food was cooked, stored and served to visitors were kept in mud, the concrete floor was dilapidated and impossible to wash and disinfect.

Shields instead of walls did not protect against dust, microbes, rodents and insects. The Opela LLC was given a deadline to eliminate the breaches. -0-
