Armenia’s ministry of labor and social affairs has acquired two small houses for people with disabilities, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan said in parliament on Friday.

YEREVAN, June 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of labor and social affairs has acquired two small houses for people with disabilities, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan said in parliament on Friday.
"People living in the relevant state establishments will be accommodated in these newly built small houses, which will allow them to participate in community life," she said.
In her words, these houses have been built thanks to saving of funds by the ministry. In addition, she said that for the first time, the budget spending on the needs of people with disabilities was 100% implemented for the first time.
As of December 31, 2019, there are 192,014 registered persons with disabilities in Armenia, of which 8623 have children.
"Some 6,500 elderly people and persons with disabilities were provided with care services in the relevant state institutions affiliated with the ministry," Batoyan said. -0-
