YEREVAN, June 17. / ARKA /. An Armenian expert warned today that the country’s population may dwindle to below 2 million by 2025-2030. Speaking at a roundtable discussion on emigration issues, Gevorg Poghosian, the head of the Armenian Sociological Association, said emigration is a normal process, but in Armenia it reached a scale that can be described as ‘depopulation." He cited UN data, according to which the world has about 250 million migrant workers, accounting for about 3% of the total 7 billion global population.
