Armenian government approves consolidation of some provincial tax agencies

On Friday, Armenia’s government gave its approval to Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan’s proposal to consolidate some tax agencies in provinces.
YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. On Friday, Armenia’s government gave its approval to Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan’s proposal to consolidate some tax agencies in provinces.
“The decision is prompted by the necessity of optimizing activities of tax institutions and reducing their expenses,” Khachatryan said.
He proposed to unite four tax agencies I Echmiadzin, Armavir, Kotayk and Nairi into two –with the home office in Abovyan (Kotayk province) and with the home office in Echmiadzin (Armavir province).
In his words, such an opportunity emerged after e-government system was improved. ---0----
