YEREVAN, January 4. /ARKA/. Yerevan's 17th quarter will become the main site for the construction of Academic Campus. A corresponding decision was made at the session of the Armenian government on Thursday.

The government, in particular, approved the boundaries of the future Academic Campus that will house state-run universities and research institutes.

A plot of land was chosen for the campus on the northwestern outskirts of Yerevan - on the edge of Silikyan quarter, which is formally within the city limits.

From there, the campus will extend further outside the city and occupy the vacant lands of Sasunik village in Aragatsotn region, as well as to the east - towards Ashtarak highway. Besides, it will also occupy the territory of Armenfilm movie studio. --0--
