Аverage monthly salary in Armenia’s financial sector rises 6.2 percent to AMD 368,800 in Аugust 2014

The average nominal monthly salary in the Armenian economy’s highest paid segments – finance and insurance - rose 6.2 percent in August 2014, compared with August 2013, to AMD 368,759, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. The average nominal monthly salary in the Armenian economy’s highest paid segments – finance and insurance - rose 6.2 percent in August 2014, compared with August 2013, to AMD 368,759, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
Mining industry and the information and communication sector’s employees enjoyed high salaries as well – average salaries here were AMD 326,100 and AMD 312,200 respectively in September 2014.
Culture and leisure sectors were singled out in the statistical report for the lowest average monthly salary in the country – AMD 98,000.
Education sector’s employees had AMD 107,600, other services’ AMD 109,900 and agriculture, forestry and fishery’ AMD 11,400.
According to the report, an average nominal monthly salary in Armenia was AMD 170,970 in August 2014 – 5% lower than in the previous month and 7.9% higher than in August 2013.
Syunik province’s average salary, about AMD 200,700 was highest in the country in August 2014, and that of Aragatsotn province was lowest – about AMD 120,500.
The average nominal salary in Yerevan stood at AMD 186,200 in August 2014.
In September 2014, the average nominal salary in Armenia was AMD 171,254 or $419 dollars – 0.2% higher than in August 2014. ($1 – AMD 413.51). ---0-----
