The European Union has provided more than 36 million euros in recent years to support environment and water resources in Armenia, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos said.
YEREVAN, May 16. /ARKA/. The European Union has provided more than 36 million euros in recent years to support environment and water resources in Armenia, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos said.
“With our cooperation we are building a greener and more stable future,” Maragos noted the day before at an international conference on sustainable development in Yerevan organized by the European Business Association.
Maragos emphasized the EU's support for Armenia's “green transition” and biodiversity conservation.
“Biodiversity is not only about nature, it is also about sustainability, health and future well-being,” Maragos noted. -0-
