Government releases 182 million drams for certification of school teachers

YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today the release of 182 million drams for the certification of teachers.

The acting Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan said no certification of school teaches had been held in the previous two years due to the dissolution of the certification commission.

He recalled that according to the law, 1/5 of teachers must undergo certification per year. He noted also that more than 7,400 teachers are to be certified over the next two years.

"The certification is mandatory so that teachers do not lose their skills.," Dumanyan said. ($1 - 514.87 drams). --0--
