Government releases 3 billion drams in subventions to communities

The government of Armenia has approved today the release of 205.7 million drams in subventions for the implementation of 25 projects in 23 communities (the total cost of the projects, co-financed by the communities is 532.185 million drams).
YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia has approved today the release of 205.7 million drams in subventions for the implementation of 25 projects in 23 communities (the total cost of the projects, co-financed by the communities is 532.185 million drams).
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenian communities have received this year a total of 3 billion drams in subventions, part of which - 1.7 billion drams- were provided by the communities themselves, and 1.3 billion drams by the government.
Pashinyan said the planned amount of subventions for this year is 10 billion drams, but since the communities are not ready yet, they received only about 3 billion drams. ‘I think that next year we will again address this issue, because this is a good example of cooperation between the government and the communities," said Pashinyan.
The projects include asphalting and improvement of streets, energy saving , street lighting, construction and repair of irrigation systems and water supply, as well as construction and repair of kindergartens, cultural centers and community centers.
The First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan said Gegharkunik province will receive 80.2 million drams, Shirak -21.9 million drams, Aragatsotn -26.6 million drams , Kotayk -29.3 million drams, Syunik -37.1 million drams and Lori -10.9 million drams ($ 1 - 484.26 drams). --0--
