YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Under a decision approved today by the Armenian government medical workers will undergo compulsory individual licensing.
Two types of licensing will be introduced: the first is transitional and concerns students undergoing residency training, and the second is specialized. The licenses will be issued for 5 years.
According to Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, the law envisages a long transition period to prepare the healthcare system for the changes, and the licensing procedure for residents will begin on January 1, 2024. On January 1, 2026, the system will become fully operational. -0-
