In January-May 2025, some 3 people died in Armenia, which is 0.3% less than in the same period in 2024, as evidenced by data published by the National Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, July 5. /ARKA/. In January-May 2025, some 3 people died in Armenia, which is 0.3% less than in the same period in 2024, as evidenced by data published by the National Statistical Committee.
More than half (52.2% or 5,807 people) died from diseases of the circulatory system, which is 5.2% less than in the same period in 2024.
The second leading cause of death was neoplasms (18.6% or 2,073 people, a decrease of 2.5%).
Other causes of death include respiratory diseases (10.9% or 1,207 people, an increase of 10.3%), digestive diseases (4.9% or 548 people, a decrease of 6.3%), external causes of morbidity and mortality (3.1% or 340 people, a decrease of 15%), diseases of the endocrine system (2.2% or 244 people, an increase of 22%), and infectious diseases (1.2% or 137 people, an increase of 75.6%).-0-
