The Armenian Health Ministry will launch a screening program aimed at detecting andrenogenital syndrome in newborns in 2024, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said today while presenting a report on the ministry's activities in 2023.

YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian Health Ministry will launch a screening program aimed at detecting andrenogenital syndrome in newborns in 2024, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said today while presenting a report on the ministry's activities in 2023.
The program will be launched in Armenia's capital Yerevan in October 2024, after which other regions will join the program.
The screening will help detect congenital adrenal hyperplasia in newborns and reduce infant mortality through early diagnosis before the development of adrenal crisis. -0-
