Novosti-Armenia: Two decades in the Armenian media landscape
YEREVAN, December 9. /АРКА/. The Novosti-Armenia news agency is marking its 20th anniversary. Over the past twenty years, it has evolved from a traditional information resource into a contemporary media entity active across all major digital platforms.
According to Galina Davidyan, the general director of the news agency, this anniversary represents a significant milestone in the agency's growth and reaffirms its vital role in the country's media environment.
"Over these 20 years, we have transformed into a comprehensive media system. Nowadays, news agencies can be found on Telegram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, VK, and Threads. Our website garners over 10 million views each year. For us, journalism transcends mere employment; it serves as a powerful instrument for influence and shaping public opinion. This carries immense responsibility, which is why we hold our team's professionalism in such high regard," Galina Davidyan remarked.
The general director expressed her appreciation to the mews agency's staff for their commitment to the profession, as well as to the partners who have supported the advancement of quality journalism in Armenia over the years. Special thanks were also extended to the readers.
"You don’t just consume our content - you engage in polls, discussions, and share your ideas. We strive to bring the best of these ideas to fruition. This is how the 'Good news' project was born, which we view as one of our significant accomplishments. Without our audience, our efforts would lack purpose," Galina Davidyan stated.
Reflecting on the achievements of the past twenty years, she affirmed that Novosti-Armenia will persist in adopting new technologies, formats, and projects, while steadfastly adhering to its core principles of objectivity, integrity, and timely information dissemination.
