YEREVAN, March 26. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed today Karen Keryan as Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission.
Karen Keryan will replace Smbat Gogyan, who was officially dismissed on September 25, 2020. Since then, the post was vacant.
Gogyan said the reason for his dismissal was the discrepancy between his vision of the reform of education and science and the strategy of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Gogyan was appointed to this post on June 12, 2018.
Karen Keryan is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics of the Yerevan State University, where he also received a PhD in Physics and Mathematics. He is a lecturer at YSU, and also holds the position of an assistant at the American University of Armenia. --0-
