YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Friday, the Armenian government approved the Program for Providing Support in the Form of Paid Public Works to Able-bodied Citizens from Families Recognized as Indigent under the Indigent Assessment System.

Beneficiaries can work in the field of development and maintenance of urban infrastructure, including the repair of social infrastructure facilities (schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, social protection institutions, cultural centers) and the improvement of adjacent territories, inter-municipal and intra-municipal roads, highways, sidewalks, parks, gardens, playgrounds. They will be able to provide social and household services, including the provision of non-professional services (care and maintenance) to lonely elderly people and other persons in need of care. These persons can work in rural and forestry enterprises, including the production of agricultural products, restoration, maintenance of forests and green areas.

They will be able to work in the fields of culture and tourism (including landscaping of areas adjacent to monuments, museums, churches, construction and landscaping of tourist trails, including sanitary cleaning), education, including teacher assistants, technical, non-professional jobs in educational institutions.

The 3-12 month program will be organized on the e-work.am platform.

The employer concludes an employment contract with the persons included in the project, and the employer is offered to provide an amount of 3,500 drams per person per day of work. Thus, the monthly salary will be about 73,000 drams.
