Russia’s Azimuth Air Company intends to increase the number of direct flights from Rostov-on-Don to Yerevan and back and operate them every day. According to Travel.ru points out the ban Russia has imposed on air flights between Russia and Georgia as probable cause of this decision.
YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Russia’s Azimuth Air Company intends to increase the number of direct flights from Rostov-on-Don to Yerevan and back and operate them every day. Flights from Rostov to Georgia, which are operated by Pobeda low-coster will be canceled from July 8.
Azimuth has no flights to Georgia, but it decided to make flights to neighboring Armenia more frequent operating them every day. It is not so difficult to get to Georgia’s territory from Yerevan by motor vehicles or trains.
Now Azimuth operates Rostov-Yerevan flights four times a week – on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The air company will add a Saturday flight to them on June 29 and a Thursday flight on July 9.
Air tickets for summer season flights start from 5585 Russian rubles from Rostov to Yerevan and 7805 from Yerevan.
Tickets in September and October will cost at least 4860 rubles and 6355 rubles respectively.
Prices 3410 and 5630 will be available from November, but they will not include baggage.
Remarkable is that sometimes, separate one way tickets may be cheaper than a two-way ticket.
Azimuth also serves Krasnodar-Yerevan route, but these flights are still operated four times a week, and an increase to five flights is planned to be carried out from October 27 for a winter season. -0---
