Some military industrial complex strategic facilities of Armenia to be run by high technology industry ministry

A number of state strategic facilities of the military industrial complex of Armenia came under the control of the ministry of high technology industry, High Technology Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan said Monday in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. A number of state strategic facilities of the military industrial complex of Armenia came under the control of the ministry of high technology industry, High Technology Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan said Monday in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.
He said that in accordance with the decision of the government, the Yerevan Institute of Mathematical Machines (Mergelyan Plant), the Charentsavan Machine Tool Plant, the Hrazdan factory Patnesh, the factory Laser Equipment and the factory LT Pirkal, as well as the factory for the production / repair of weapons Garni Ler came under the control of the ministry.
“These facilities were transferred to the balance of the ministry, which will develop a management and development strategy for these state-owned enterprises by the end of the year,” Arshakyan said.
Earlier, the government decided to transfer the management of Haypost CJSC which for 14 years was in trust with Haypost Trust Management, owned by Eduardo Ernekyan, a large Argentinean entrepreneur (the contract expired on February 15, 2020) to the ministry of high technology.
Haypost CJSC is Armenia’s national postal operator. It provides postal, financial and retail trade services. The company provides its services to residents all the cities of Armenia and even the country’s most remote villages via its 900 post offices. -0---
