An agreement on declaring Yerevan and Tehran sister cities was signed Wednesday in the Iranian capital. The document was signed by Yerevan mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and his Tehran counterpart Alireza Zakani.

YEREVAN, January 18. /ARKA/. An agreement on declaring Yerevan and Tehran sister cities was signed Wednesday in the Iranian capital. The document was signed by Yerevan mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and his Tehran counterpart Alireza Zakani.

Sargsyan and Zakani pointed to the great potential for the development and expansion of cooperation between the two cities. They also signed a cooperation plan of actions between the two capitals in such areas as transport, urban development, culture, environmental protection.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation and warm reception, the mayor of Yerevan invited his Tehran counterpart to pay a return visit to Armenia. --0--
