Ecos-M to invest $1.6 million in ICT technologies in Armenia

ECOS-M company is investing $1.6 million in the development of ICT technologies in the free economic zone in the town of Hrazdan in central Armenian province of Kotayk, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan said at a meeting of the Armenian government today.

YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. ECOS-M company is investing $1.6 million in the development of ICT technologies in the free economic zone in the town of Hrazdan in central Armenian province of Kotayk, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan said at a meeting of the Armenian government today.
The government has granted today ECOS-M the right to operate in the free economic zone in Hrazdan for a period of 5 years.
According to the minister, the company will be creating information infrastructures, cloud computing, hosting of mining equipment, creating and maintaining mining stages, servicing technology and a production line for creating modular data processing centers.
The $1.6 million investment will create 57 new jobs with an average salary of 500 thousand drams, according to Khachatryan.
He said the total exports of the company will amount to $3.8 million. Its products will be sold in the EU, the USA, the Middle East, China, South Korea and some former Soviet republics, united in the Eurasian Economic Union.
In August 2018, ECOS-M obtained a license to organize a new free economic zone in the city of Hrazdan, saying total investments will amount to $50 million. According to the company's investment program, the first 50 companies that will work in the free economic zone are expected to arrive by 2021. ECOS-M pledged to create 22 new jobs, and another 300 will be created by the companies operating in the free economic zone.
The free economic zone in Hrazdan is the fourth in Armenia. ($1 – 487.59 drams). --0--
