Armenia is a popular destination for Russians during May holidays
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. About 5% of Russian citizens plan to go on vacation to foreign countries for the May holidays, which this year will last for 10 days- from May 1 to May 10, TASS news agency reported, citing a study by Sberbank Insurance and Tutu.ru.
The decision is expected to help avoid widespread use of public transport in the first week of May.
According to the study, most of Russians, planning holidays abroad, are booking flights to former Soviet republics of Armenia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan as well as to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, which are the most popular destinations on holidays.
According to the study, every fifth Russian is planning a trip during the protracted May holidays; the most popular destinations are Russian Crimea, Sochi and Kaliningrad. --0--
