VTB bank (Armenia) starts serving ARCA cards

/ARKA/. The VTB Bank (Armenia) started serving local plastic cards ArCa. The bank’s press service reports that the bank’s branch network, ATMs and POS terminals will serve the cards by means of the universal payment system Armenian Card (ArCa).
YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. The VTB Bank (Armenia) started serving local plastic cards ArCa. The bank’s press service reports that the bank’s branch network, ATMs and POS terminals will serve the cards by means of the universal payment system Armenian Card (ArCa). Last October, the bank joined the system and received the right to serve local cards ArCa.
The bank is also an associate member of the VISA International. In July 2003, the bank started issuing plastic cards, and in 2007 it started carrying out acquiring operations (service of VISA plastic cards by means of trade and service stations).
The Russian VTB Bank is full owner of the Bank VTB (Armenia). By December 31, 2007, the bank’s assets had amounted to 70.1bln AMD, capital 20.7bln AMD. In 2007, the bank’s profit totaled 757.9mln AMD. –0--
