Aeroflot to resume flights between Russia and Armenia

YEREVAN, March 15. /ARKA/. Russian flag carrier and largest airline Aeroflot will resume flights to Armenian capital Yerevan from March 22, TASS reported citing the airline.
Aeroflot begins sales of tickets for daily regular flights to Yerevan, which will resume on March 22, 2022 and will be carried out on Russian-manufactured Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, the company said.
At the end of February, Russia closed its airspace to 36 countries (Armenia is not among them) in response to the closure of U.S. and EU's airspace to Russian aircraft.
The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency recommended that Russian airlines significantly limit flights abroad given a high risk of detention or arrest of aircraft of Russian airlines abroad.
The recommendation does not apply to Russian airlines that operate aircraft of foreign or Russian registration and there are no risks of their arrest or detention.
After this recommendation, some airlines, such as Aeroflot, S7 and Pobeda, completely closed international flights (Aeroflot operates flights only to Minsk, Belarus). -0-
